Professional History

Dr. Dawn G. Gregg is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Denver and the founder and Chairman of the Board of Developing Minds Software. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems and her M.S. in Information Management from Arizona State University, her M.B.A. from Arizona State University West, and her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Irvine. Prior to her doctoral studies, she was employed for nine years as a research and development engineer. Her current research focuses on how to organize and maintain Web-based content so that it can be used to better meet business and special education needs. Her work has been published in numerous journals such as MIS Quarterly, the International Journal of Electronic Commerce, IEEE Transactions on Systems Man, and Cybernetics, Communications of the ACM, and Decision Support Systems.

Honors and Awards

  • Dr. Gregg received the Dean's Scholar Award, from The Business School in 2008.
  • Dr. Gregg and Dr. Walczak's paper "Dressing Your Online Auction Business For Success: An Experiment Comparing Two E-Bay Businesses," was selected for the Rutt Bridges Award, Fall 2008.
  • Dr. Gregg's company, Developing Minds Software, received first place in the Bard Center Business Plan Competition on June 11, 2008.
  • Dr. Gregg was the faculty sponsor for the Outstanding Entrepreneurial Activity, Research and Creative Activity Symposium  April 2007, (Michael Erskine, student)
  • Dr. Gregg received the Outstanding Tenure-Track Teacher of the Year Award, from The Business School in 2005.
